LOVE STORY BETWEEN BALQIS AND IBRAHIM

HOW IT STARTED 

On a fateful day, Ibrahim was deeply engrossed in his work, correcting errors in a project on his laptop. Feeling the need for a short break, he decided to scroll through the TikTok app to unwind. While exploring the app, he stumbled upon a live stream titled Matchmaking by Ganiyat. Curious, Ibrahim paused and decided to watch the session to see how things would unfold.

During the live stream, a lady named Balqis was introduced as a participant looking for a potential match. Ibrahim, who had been single for years, saw an opportunity to try his luck. Gathering courage, he sent a request to join the live session. To his delight, his request was accepted.

The moderator then asked Ibrahim to share some personal information about himself, which he did confidently. Following that, the moderator turned to Balqis and asked if she would like to give Ibrahim a chance. Without hesitation, Balqis said, “Yes.” The moderator asked her again to confirm her decision, and she repeated her affirmation. Everything seemed to be going well.

However, the moderator then informed Ibrahim that he needed to pay a fee of 5,000 naira to the matchmaking platform. Unfortunately, Ibrahim did not have any cash at that moment. The comments section quickly turned against him, with participants questioning his capabilities and making unkind remarks.

The moderator asked Balqis one final time if she truly liked Ibrahim. This time, to Ibrahim’s dismay, she said, “No.” Ibrahim was dropped from the live session, and another participant was brought up to replace him. Intrigued by the sudden change, the new participant asked Balqis why she declined Ibrahim in the end. He speculated whether it was due to the money issue. Balqis responded, but the moderator cut her off before she could explain.

Despite the setback, Ibrahim was not discouraged. After the live stream ended, he sent Balqis a direct message, asking for her WhatsApp number for further discussion. To his surprise, she shared her number, and they began to chat.

WhatsApp Chat: Day 1 (November 23)

At 6:33 PM, Ibrahim sent Balqis a message asking her to save his contact. He also shared his business card. The next day, November 24, at 1:28 AM, Ibrahim noticed that Balqis was active online. He decided to message her. She replied, saying, “You’re still active?” Ibrahim responded politely, “Yes, ma.” She explained that it was normal for her to stay up late as she rarely slept early.

Their conversation deepened as they began to exchange stories. Balqis asked Ibrahim if he was from Ilorin, and he confirmed. She then remarked, “Yes, serious one,” prompting Ibrahim to ask what she meant. Balqis explained that her past experiences with Ilorin men had been negative, describing them as unfaithful and heartbreakers. Ibrahim asked if she had dated an Ilorin man before, and she admitted that her ex was from Ilorin.

As they shared their past experiences, the conversation became more engaging. Ibrahim even joked that he would write a story about her, asking her not to be surprised when she eventually read it. This playful exchange marked the beginning of a mutual friendship, as they started chatting daily without fail, both day and night.

Confession of Feelings

One day, Ibrahim told Balqis that he had something important to discuss with her over the weekend. Balqis, curious, eagerly awaited the conversation. When the weekend arrived, Ibrahim finally mustered the courage to confess his feelings. He expressed his affection for her, explaining how much he admired her and wanted to be more than friends.

Balqis, however, hesitated. She revealed that she didn’t want to give love another chance, as her past experiences had left her deeply hurt, especially her relationship with the Ilorin man she had dated before. Ibrahim listened empathetically and began to reassure her. He told her that not all men were the same and emphasized that he was different. He promised that he wouldn’t let her down if she gave him a chance.

Through persistent discussions and heartfelt persuasion, Ibrahim slowly broke down her defenses. He reminded her that everyone deserves happiness and a fresh start. Balqis appreciated his sincerity but still needed time to think. Ibrahim, undeterred, checked in with her daily, gently asking if she had made a decision.

One day, Balqis finally gave her answer. With a smile, she said, “Yes, let’s give it a try.” Ibrahim was overjoyed. His patience and persistence had paid off. From that moment, their journey of love began. They continued to grow closer, building their relationship on mutual understanding and shared dreams.
