THE CALL OF LEADERSHIP & THE ART OF LEADERSHIP

 THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT LEADERSHIP:

1. Leadership is a call not an ambition

2. Leadership is a development not an accomplishment

3. Leadership is a task not a title

4. Leadership is a function not a position

5. Leadership is an adventure not a destination.

If you perform the function and you don’t struggle for position, it is only a matter of time, the

position will meet the function

 

THE ART OF LEADERSHIP:

 ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): EXO. 32:24

1. Understanding the situation of the people (Prov. 27:23)

Outstanding leaders are made out of deep understanding.

2. Sensitivity to the needs of the people (Heb. 4:15)

The pain you can feel is the pain you can heal.

Nobody cares what you know until they know that you care.

3. Solution provision.

Examples communicate principles

Leadership is not by the position you occupy but by the problems we rectified.

4. Direction provision.

It is only those who know the way that are qualified to be followed.

5. Decision making (1Kings 3:16:28)

The road we choose determines the place we end; we make choices and the choices make us.

The whole world will allow a man to pass if he knows where he is going.

Decision making is knowing the most profitable cause of action within the given options.

6. Progress making.

When steps are taken, progress is made

7. Difference making (1Kings 10:8)

Impact is superior to income; posterity is a high realm than prosperity

8. Influence and respect from the people.

Live your life as a leader in such a way that your presence is felt and your absence is noticed because if your presence is not felt, your absence will never be noticed and if your absence is not felt then your presence was never needed.

Leadership is the command of influence.

You can make impact despite setback and your impact will swallow up your insult.

Don’t struggle for people to know, just know and you shall be known effortlessly.

Excellence is cure for prejudice.

It is a shame when people say they don’t want you yet you use money to force yourself on them.

Impact will bring influence; the heavier your impact on the people, the higher your influence on the people.

Let your impact cancel the insult of your critics

9. Strategic thinking and planning (Gen. 41:53)

Leaders act today with tomorrow in mind.

10. Sacrificial living and giving.

Leaders take risks so that the people can rise.

The leader lives sacrificially so the people can live satisfactorily.

Title without mantle equals battle.

Do what you can to justify the followership of the people and if anyone must sacrifice for the other, it must be the leader.

Remember, Leadership starts by leading himself before he can lead others.

PRAYERS:

Father, I ask for the grace to live as a true leader in my generation to make a positive impact in the lives of the people in Jesus’ Name.
