TIPS FOR A HEALTHY MARRIAGE

1. COMMUNICATE DAILY 

 Don’t just communicate when there are misunderstandings, but communicate daily. You don’t have to wait for things to be tough before you share your thoughts and feelings. 

2. Listen, before you argue.

So many arguments can be avoided if we learn to listen first. Listen first, so you can process things with sound minds and calm hearts. Remember to be slow to speak and quick to listen. 

3. Build healthy habits together

Have great conversations during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Appreciate even the tiniest acts of love. Avoid blaming and shaming your spouse. Pray for each other always. 

4. Give one another his/her alone time.

Wanting for some alone time doesn’t mean you’re no longer interested with each other, but having a time on your own recharges you in a special way only you could understand. It gives you peace, intimate joy, and strength to love even more. 

5. Cultivate each other’s strengths

It’s important that you support your spouse’s personal goals and dreams. Know how you can support him/her privately and publicly. Praises can mean a lot for someone who needs encouragement. 

6. The way you speak matters

Watch your tone always. Even if you’re right, it doesn’t give you the right to shout at your spouse. Check your heart always. Make sure to communicate your thoughts and words with respect and love. 

7. Date your wife regularly.

Dear husbands, courting never stops in marriage. It won’t hurt when you make surprises here and there for your wife. Make an effort to take her out for a nice lovely dinner out. Plan for things. Make her feel that she is still beautiful in your eyes...
